Served in a mini nonic at the Clybourn brewpub, quick review from written notes.
Bright dark gold with sharp clarity. Fluffy head of foam that billows above the rim and left plenty of lace in the glass. Some rising carbonation visible in the small glass.
Subtle bready aroma and not much else, biscuit and hay.
Very smooth and supple out of the cask, bready biscuits, dry grassy hay, minimally bitter. Simple pale malt and slight yeast esters. A good pairing with food, simple and unfettered. That said it didn't really hold my interest to have another one.
