I had this beer during a layover at O'Hare and not sure if the jetlag had any effect on my rating but this is an average IPA. The color was about right but had almost no head and didn't leave any lace while drinking. The aroma was more of a skunky one than hoppy. Thankfully you can't judge a book by its color or smell always lol. It had a decent taste and while I wouldn't buy a case of it, I would drink it again........CHEERS

Presentation: On nitro-tap at the brewpub.
Appearance: Bright and crystal clear orange amber, a two fingered head forms after a quick cascading effect and leaves a wall of lace all the way down the glass.
Smell: Lots of flowery hop going from sweet oil to a mild earthiness, subdued fruitiness and a rounded pale malt nose also.
Taste: Psuedo-cask like mouth feel from the nitro which really intensifies the smoothness of this brew ten fold, it also helps with the creaminess between the hops and the malt. Marked bitterness tells you this is an IPA with sweet oily hop flavours that tag along, peaches and plums come to mind from an ale like fruitiness. Malt sweetness is of mild honey and doughy bread which seems to hold its own up against the hops.
Notes: An IPA to reckon with, very interesting on nitro. This is an IPA lovers session beer for sure.

This sample is from a bottle. Clear golden color with a thinner head, but leaves rings on the glass. Very fruity and citrusy aroma, with a little touch of grassiness. Never smelled a beer quite like this. Interesting fruitiness to the taste that keeps the bitterness from being too overpowering. Malt provides a smoothness. Noticable dryness to finish, but not excessive and isn't too puckering. Medium mouthfeel with notable carbonation. This really is a fine beer, but the flavor, the most important aspect, seems the weakest part and lacks a complexity that I desire.

Had this one from a Nitro Tap. I had the pleasure of watching the cascading/settling of the beer, which in general just makes me want the beer more. Just like any other nitro beer, the head was thick and creamy and lasted well beyond the life of the beer (not that it's life was long).
Anyhoo, wonderful citrus hop aroma and flavor. Excellent bitterness in the flavor, especially in the finish. Very refreshing, and incredibly easy drinking brew. I was actually surprized at how many I drank tonight. Simply an incredibly easy (and pleasurable) drinking beer!

Excellent IPA: On tap: creamy, smooth head, smooth taste. Strong wonderful beer aroma beautiful; golden straw colors. Excellent dry bitterness, good beer.
Goose IPA: In a bottle. Deep honey golden beer with a tall, very dense head. Great aroma, with nice hop power. To no one’s surprise, this beer has a bold hops bite as soon as you take a sip. This has a very nice malt follow through, and a long lasting aftertaste. This is a very nice IPA.

The fairly thick white head dissipates fairly quickly. Dark golden hue w/ a bit of haze. The pungent hop nose is a melange of floral, piney and citrusy notes-- it's quite complex and appetizing. The floral, borderline herbal hop flavor dominates the flavor profile. The hop bitterness is moderate, however, and more than adequately balanced by a substantial malt character. This brew is fairly rich compared to many AIPAs and definitely isn't dry. Goose Island IPA finishes with a mild hop bitterness and just a touch of graininess. This is my staple IPA since Kansas sucks. One can't go wrong with this one. Great hop flavor and malt profile, although it could use a bit more hop bitterness.

I've only had this in bottles, but it is a great IPA. Tons of lemony-floral hops, just shy of too much. A hop-head delight.
