Look: Very Dark, opaque, dark brown, almost black with a reddish tint. Almost no head evident save for a little foam around the edge.
Smell: Very aromatic, sweet smell, toffee, vanilla, raisins, molasses smell are definitely prominent. Missed the clove smell that I'd expect from a Belgian.
Taste: Delicious, same vanilla, raisins, molasses flavors evident when tasting. Picked up some clove and pepper hiding in the aftertaste. Lightly bitter.
Feel: Medium body, lingers nicely on the palate, light carbonation
Overall: Very satisfied with this Quad. Very drinkable "heavy" beer, with aromas and flavor that really pleases the senses. High alcohol without being boozy. Sweet without being syrupy.
