Goose island exponential pours a reddish color with a small long lasting head. Bitter aroma with a grainy undertone. Taste is bitter and grainy. Good flavors and body. Overall nice full beer, simple but bitter.

Dark copper with amber highlights. There's a half inch of frothy beige suds on top. The aroma is sweet amber malt and faintly grassy hops. I'm tasting more grassy to piney hops and the sweet amber malt, while initially the star, plays second fiddle at the back of the palate. The mouth is quite smooth save for a light hop stickiness.

Are solid cold weather beer. More hop than I expected but I did appreciate it. This beer is usually solid.

Pours a reddish-amber with a slight chill haze and a two finger head of off white foam. Not very aesthetically pleasing.
Biscuity & caramel sweet like malts overpower a slight earthy and grassy hop bill.
Toasted malt, biscuits, and slight caramel sweetness fade to a grassy hop bitter finish.
Light-bodied, high carbonation, sweet, bitter dry finish.
Overall, not a terrible beer, but this beer screams mediocrity. Just pass on it.

Picked this up over at Kentlands, in the place next to Bonefish Grill behind the Seven Eleven. This pours a medium amber color with perfect clarity. There is great promise in the head, but it fails to a cap quickly. This is partially redeemed by exquisite lace. Nose is caramel malt with a dose of medicinal hops.
Some grassy bitterness accompanies the dull chocolate and caramel malts but nothing really seems to connect. Aftertaste is more bitter than sweet. Notes of citrus, chalk, and baker's chocolate. Strange for an amber. Keep experimenting, I guess.

A: Pours an amber color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Some herbal and spicy hops up front along with a solid caramel malt backbone. Some light fruitiness in there as well
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the herbal and spicy hops and goes into a mild maltiness that eventually gets overthrown by bitterness. Finishes with lingering spicy hop notes and bitterness
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A nice amber lager that is easy to drink and appropriate for the fall season. Nothing special, but certainly not a dud

Surprised at the low scores. I'll try not to let it impact the review.
Kind of subdued mixed hop/malt aroma.
Nice looking beer with a very clear beer with a pleasing amber color and firm off-white head which settles slowly with lacing.
A nice autumn feel with a firm malt foundation with a great mix of herbal, earthy hop flavor that immediately mixes with the bitterness that gives it a nice cool weather taste. The bitterness glides nicely through the drink and lingers well. There is some grapefruit, esp. on the finish, but other than that rather low on fruit. Seems to be a bit of a nutty taste in here somewhere and a shot of sweetness that mixes well both of which I find appealing.
Feels much more like an ale than a lager. Seems to have a left heft, even with the lower abv.
This is enjoyable. The full on bitter may get a bit much in time (or kill off those taste buds), but I could easily have another. Drinks closer to a lager than the feel would inspire.
Given to me by my sister in law (Thanks LInda).
