Organically grown barley and hops. Hazy straw yellow. Smells a lot like barley bread, with a sharp hops presense. Good malt/bitter balance. Has a crisp mouthfeel to it. Not a bad brew. $5 a 6 pack too!

Presentation: 12 brown long neck twist off bottle with a “best when consumed by” freshness date on the back label, this sample was contract brewed by Goose Island Beer Company.

Appearance: Fast and crisp looking bubbles rise to the top and struggle to hold the largely bubbled white lace together, the clarity is fine.

Smell: Cracker graininess and some coarse hop in the aroma.

Taste: Light to moderate in body with a hastened textured carbonation. Big flavours of pale grain come with a side of sweetness. More clean grain pushes through as a light yet watery citrusy hop bitterness limps onto the palate. Clean though there is an odd husky dextrin flavour in the finish that just does not want to leave.

Notes: Organic shomorganic it is just an average brew. It was not nearly worth the $1.75 a 12 oz pop.

Light golden hue w/ good clarity. The thin, tight head leaves sparse lace. Grainy, bready aroma w/ a hint of sulfur. Lemony Tettanger hop nose. Perhaps not as fresh as could be (best by 4/25/02) Mild grainy malt & dextrin sweetness persist from start to finish and mild hop bitterness balances adequately. Lemony hop flavor. Light, crisp mouthfeel. Finishes dry, clean and abrupt. This golden ale is a drinkable, refreshing brew, albeit with no outstanding qualities. Most closely approximates a Kolsch.

Medium Gold color, medium white foamy head. Aroma is grainy, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied ale, malty and slightly sweet. Smooth taste. Not very hoppy. Nice flavor. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is smooth and clean. Aftertaste is slightly malty. Nice mild tasting beer.
