10 oz pour at Monks Pub for ?? dollars. Yellow side of orange, slight rim of foam. Straight up agave nose, some oak/vanilla and tequila. Bad sign. Taste is more of the same with a slight tropical note on the back end. Very dry with medium carb, a bit sweet with that agave lingering. Pretty gross overall, try if you must buy avoid if you have better options. Interesting yet hitting all the wrong notes for me.
This is a terrific beer. Complex and massively drinkable - the blend of wild yeast, the tequila barrel and tropical notes all combine well. Pineapple, mango and papaya notes all come through from the nose to the first sip. The aroma on this is spectacular. Juicy yet dry feel, which stays light despite the high ABV.
