The Midway was the park at the heart of the 1893 world’s fair in Chicago to which people came from far and wide to enjoy. Inspired by this, our Midway Session IPA has the citrus hop hit people love in an easy drinking IPA for everyone.

25 cl tap pull at Turbine, in Toulouse, France.
It’s a nice patio beer. Hop soda, if you will. Looks fine, tastes like a little IPA should. It just has no teeth. Hop soda. It’s OK.,.

On tap at Vardons at Hanbury Country Club, Ware, Herts.
Decent looking pint. Clear yellow body, persistent frothy head, good lacing. Aroma is lemony, and that is the dominant flavor. Doesn't seem to have any hop profile at all. Clean finish though. Tamed the flames of a spicy pasta.

Had this yesterday out in the fricken cold but it was quite nice nevertheless (my taste buds might have been partially frozen though…)
First, the aroma was decent, citrusy and slightly tropical. The taste took some time to reach full bloom (especially in the stormy wind we had last night,) first sips were mostly hop bitterness. Could imagine myself drinking this by a pool in summer but it was still alright on December 30 in a windstorm. To each his own I guess.

A good beer from a brewery that never really impressed me except for BCBS and its variants. Worth trying and cheap of course but not something I’d actively seek out anymore.
It’s a shame BCBS is so damn pricey and the rest of their beers just don’t compare.
