Poured a nice Dark Amber, with a full creamy head.

Smell was light toasted malts.

Taste had a very lighty toasted malt flavor with just a touch of cocoa, finished with a very mild bitterness. Overall very light in flavor.

Mouthfeel was light with a slightly dry finish.

Easy to drink, but nothing to special.

Had at the brewpub, courtesy of one of the servers. The beer arrived a solid amber color with a small head that fell to nothing over top. Clarity was excellent and carbonation was minimal. Nose was enticing. Good caramel with a light grain undertone that gave enough of an edge to break up the sweetness. Hopping was minimal in the nose and not anything of note. Flavor was moderate grainey and caramel with a mild earthyness. The finish was slightly sweet with a mild and clean bitter. Tasty beer. Feel was moderate with a moderate carbonation. It was not too heavy, but let me know I was drinking something with some substance. Overall, I enjoyed this one. Not my favorite style, but this one was flavorful with a moderately sweet finish and an unoffensive graineyness that worked for it. I would have it again, and hopefully it will be on tap for a little while.

Served in standard pint glass at the Wrigleyville location. The beer is a clear red/bronze with a small beige head. Nice lacing patterns.

Nose of caramel, malts and a little pine. Fresh and inviting!

The taste is slightly sweet, with some earthy/peat notes. The hops are clearly present and add a nice brisk underpinning of pine.

The mouth is semi-thick mouth with low carbonation. Sessionable to the max.

I would love to try this and their Kilgubbin side-by-side. I could see this one being a great crossover beer and being very popular with the throngs that hit Goose before and after games. Well done!
