L: brilliant copper permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a lacy 1.5" off-white to light cream cap
S: grainy rich malt, spicy hops, medium low fruity esters, baked bread and nutty bread crust
T: Rich malt leads the flavors featuring bread crust, light toast, and nuts
F: creamy smooth with a medium body and medium plus carbonation
O: a clean, smooth, full flavored, very drinkable beer

Copper to light amber hued with a half inch of creamy brown on top. There's a nice balance of caramel and marzipan aroma. I'm tasting that luscious caramel and marzipan flavor. There's a just enough grassy hop bitterness at the back of the palate to offset the malt. The mouths has just a hint of light stickiness from all of that malt.

Pours a clear brown color. 2/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, caramel malt, hint of wood, yeast, hint of rye, hint of roasted malt, slight alcohol, and slight hop. Fits the style of an Altbier. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel malt, slight earthiness, yeast, hint of rye, hint of roasted malt, slight alcohol, and slight hop. Overall, good body, sporadic blend, and good appearance.

Poured an amber, copper color copper with a medium, lasting head.
Smells of toasty malt and a slight floral hop character.
Taste of bread and toffee with a sweet malt finish with a nice bitterness from the hops.
Medium body and lasting finish.
Nice example of the style, would drink again.

12oz, Bottled on 27JUL17; from a mixed "Employee O̶n̶l̶y̶ Case" purchased at Costco
Copper colored ale with a creamy and very persistent beige head that doesn't really dissipate much. Toasty grain, toffee, caramel, and earthy hops for aroma. Hearty malt-forward flavors provide notes of toasted grain, burnt caramel, toffee, and bread crust matched with some earthy and spicy hops for bitterness. Medium bodied and very creamy. Finishes well balanced with some pine, pepper, and fruity esters hanging around on the palate. Overall, I dig this Altbier: in my opinion it's a good representation of a style that is not brewed too often.
