(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer has a creamy light tan head with a warm orangish-brown body that is crystal clear. There is a very gentle carbonation that slowly glides through the body.
S- The smell is light with banana notes and a light toasted malt hint that is a bit dry. There is a faint hop finish that is a bit grassy.
T- The pale malt flavor is followed by a light toasted note and a slight sweetness finishes the malt. There is a hop bitterness that is almost metallic and faintly grassy with a pine resin bitterness that shows up on the tongue after each sip. The New Zealand Gem hops are very interesting and very tasty. There is a light banana note that comes through more as it warms with a tartness to the hops also appearing as it warms.
M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel that is more full in the finish.
D- This beer was well balanced with a nice new flavor of hops but the banana notes were a bit odd. It was a good concept but not really worth the $6/pint just for organic's sake.
