(Served in an American pint glass)

A- This beer has a very pale yellow hazy body with a thin bubbly snow white head that sits on top for a good bit. The body is too dense to see any carbonation except for a few random bubbles on the side of the glass.

S- This beer has a very clean light lemony note with a slight dry carbonic acid and yeast smell to it. A faint note of white bread comes through as it warms.

T- This beer has a light dry wheat bread hint with a slight lemon cleaner taste, but it is not really a bad flavor. There is a hint of dry pepper in the finish with a soft hop note to it. The hops are not really bitter but a bit like a noble hop taste. There is a soft dry banana note that comes through as this beer warms.

M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel with a crisp finish that is enhanced by a strong fizz.

D- This beer is light dry and crisp but the flavors are a bit soft. I will be interested to see what the big brother of this beer tastes like, and I find this one very drinkable. Its dryness makes this more drinkable and less filling than most German style wheat beers I have had.

Special midnight release for the Goose Island New Years party. From what I was told this was the second runnings from their soon to be released Batch 2000 Wheatwine. This wit was brewed without spices.

Pours a super cloudy amber, almost no head forms, although a chunky white layer sticks around, some lace spots. Smell is sweet, bananas, wheat, toffee, slightly weak, smells like a witbier without spices. Taste is similar, sweet, some banana, lack of spice doesn't help this beer however, just not enough going on. Mouthfeel is medium to light bodied, low to medium carbonation, very drinkable but no spicing really hurts this. Neat to try however.
