Notes:
Every round of IPA Now begins with special pale malt, lending a nice toasty character in this first release. Old school classic kettle hopping and large new school dry-hopping give a pungent, tropical, and dank aroma, balanced by citrus and pine notes.

Poured from a tall can into a tulip.
Pours a hazy amber/gold with a nice two-fingered foamy head and solid lacing.
Toasted malts forward along with general citrus aromas, mostly grapefruit, and some vinous white grape.
The brew his the tip of the tongue with caramel and lightly toasted/caramel malts, which quickly give way to moderate earthy/grassy hop flavors, kissed with a bit of citrus flavor. The brew finishes with touches of pine and dank hop flavor. The brew has some faint artificial and medicinal flavors as it warms.
Medium-bodied, the brew is well-carbonated and nearly crisp, with a nice finish and good drinkability.
Overall, a decent brew that seems more like an old school English IPA, with an emphasis on restrained earthy and grassy hops.

16 ounce can in a nonic pint glass.
Pours a slightly clouded golden orange color. A clean white 1F of froth caps the brew, it fades to a lasting film and leaves wisps of lacing.
"Pungent, tropical, and dank aroma." Indeed!
Citrus and tropical fruit flavors play tag. There's toasted malt and pine.
Medium body and hop bitterness, yet drinks light and easy. Long lasting hop finish of pine and citrus.
Well rounded solid IPA.

Appearance: Pours a deep, glowing orange color with a mild white head. SRM of 11. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of dank tropical fruit. Lots of dank and ripe tropica pineapple, grapefruit, melon, peach, and some berry underneath. Not too floral or much pine. Dank, but rather fruity and not too bitter. (3.75)
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose with lots of dank tropical fruit. Ripe pineapple, grapefruit, melon, peach, and some berry. Dank fruit and not bitter. Light pale malts. Finishes dry and clean. (3.75)
Feel: Lighter-body than I expected. Finishes light and clean. Lighter than the ABV suggests. (3.75)
Overall: A lighter-IPA that characterizes the dry-hopping componenet well. Lots of dank fruit flavor, but light body and dry. Dissimilar to a NEIPA in the fact that it's dank and fruity and not airy. Not creamy. I prefer more body. Still, it's light, clean, crisp, and abounding with dry-hopped fruit flavor. (3.70)

A: The beer is clear dark yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left some patches of bubbles covering most of the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light flavors of toasted malts along with notes of spicy hops and a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Hardly any crispness is present.
O: I found this beer to maltier than I would have expected - it seems to be more like an English IPA than an American IPA.
Note: Version 2 (13Aug19)
Serving type: can
