Served in a 20oz imperial pint at Goose Island-Clybourn 6/11/07.
A: Dark, murky brown with faint ruby highlights. Tan colored 1 1/2 finger head.
S: Chocolate and vanilla bean. Reminds me a lot of Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. Incredible!
T: See above. Could pass for Youngs DCS but better!
M: Smooth, creamy, slick, and velvet-y. A pleasure to sip!
D: Unheard of drinkability. Will needs to brew this one on a regular basis!!!

So, the story I was told from the bartender (Will the brewer was not around) is that this is their "Dead Goat Porter" put into a cask that was primed with melted marshmallows.
Well, it smells and tastes like a mild, light bodied porter (which Dead Goat is) with a definitely marshmallow front end. The porter has some chocolate notes that make me think "Smorter" would have been a better name. I like it, but a bigger, bolder and more roasty porter would have been a better match. After all, smores are better when you burn the marshmallow.
