Bourbon County Stout aged for 2 years in 8-year Heaven Hill barrels, then in Brandy barrels for 2 years. Overripe fruit, dark chocolate, port, brandy, whiskey, oak. Not for the faint of heart.

Slick, silky black with burnt reddish-brown edges and no head.

This BCBS variant has a uniquely floral, red fruit nose with some noticeable heat. The viscous silky body is not too thick, delivering roasted cacao and chocolate bourbon syrup, colliding with the barrel to create a uniquely delicious toasted peanut in the exhale after the semi-sticky swallow.

11/14/18 (Chicago): $5 3 oz pour within "Epic Flight" in sample glass at Goose Island Taproom. Pitch black pour, thin tan ring around the glass. Excellent aroma, sweet brandy and fruit blends well with the strong bourbon back. Very balanced pour, brandy excellent, bourbon even more so. Fruit and chocolate round out this excellent tasting and balanced pour. Very thin mouth feel, somewhat creamy and very smooth drinking. Overall excellent offering.
