Described by the bartender as a hopped up Weis, it was served in a hefe glass. The beer is a cloudy apricot. It has a thick white head with awesome lacing. .
Nice nose of clove banana and citrus. I think the citrus is from cascade hopes.
The taste tracks close to the smell. Goose does a great traditional Weis and I'm guessing that this is the base for this beer. You get banana and bubble gum notes all backed by clove and spice. Then the hops kick-in and add a very interesting citrus tang. Well Done!!
The beer has a thick & slick mouth and is a very easy drinker.
This is a nice change-up beer and one I'm looking forward to having again!
