on tap into a tulip glass at the Clybourn Brewpub in Chicago. pours a light yellowish color with orange tints and a half finger of white head that has weak retention. no lacings.

aroma is of light pale malts with a citrus base and notes of mild yeast. similar to a hefeweizen in profile.

taste is of citrusy hops with wheat malt, along with a subtle spiced quality in the background. finishes with citrus and residual subtle spice, all with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste.

mouthfeel is light and tart in texture, with a light body and soft CO2 upon finishing. a light sweetness and lingering slickness define the mouthfeel after finishing.

drinkability is decent. this is basically a hefeweizen with a bit more on the yeast side of the profile. though it is called a 'belgian', there is not much here to back up the claim.

(Served in a tulip glass)

A- This beer has a glowing yellow hazy body with a big carbonation that sticks to the glass and a spongy lacy meniscus of snow white on top.

S- The tart soapy smell of bright lemons has a hint of bubblegum in the background and a wheat bread note that increases as the beer warms.

T- The taste of green hops is soon overpowered by grapefruit juice. There is a club soda and salty note followed by a bitterness of green hops in the finish. There is a note of dried leaves in the background.

M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with a creamy texture in the finish.

D- This beer has some complexity and a big grapefruit flavor with an overall dry flavor. Nice but not that interesting.
