Little Risk was inspired by Brewer Tim’s trips to Brazil. It was there in Sao Paulo where our head Brazilian pub brewer, Gui, took a perceptively dark heavy Imperial Stout, and created an easy-drinking, refreshing Brazilian summer stout.

From a tall can, this is a dark brown color with a thin head. The aroma promising, it has roasted and malt notes. The taste, though, is a little thin and unsatisfying in the mid-taste. The finish is a bit better, with some stout flavor. As a non-alcoholic beer, it is solid, but compared to its full-strength relatives, it is disappointing.

Dark brown to light black in color with a lightly murky complexion. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering three quarters of the top. The aroma is of of chocolate and wheat. I’m tasting chocolate, caramel, and wheat. The mouth is lightly oily and otherwise approachable.

Little Risk is an awesome session stout that comes in at a feathery 2.6% ABV. This is a beer that is made to drink as casual as a pilsner. It has a good bitter-sweet flavor and something fun and different for an all day beer.

I like being able to drink a beer that does not really get you drunk but it is still flavourful.

A: Pours brown but in the glass it is black with a large tan head.
S: Chocolate and roasted grain aroma, perhaps a touch of vanilla.
T: A touch thin and watery, but for the style that seems appropriate. There is some nice roasted grain notes, and a touch of a coffee flavor. Throw this in a barrel, or add some coffee and we might be in a new world.
M: Light in body with a thin feel, high carbonation, and a dry finish.
O: Overall for a lower abv beer, it's pretty solid. I think if the carbonation was a little lower it might really sell the stout a little more. Some additional aging or flavors could really transform this.

Pours a light black color that is lighter and reddish around the edges. Thin one finger tan head forms on the beer and then dissipates pretty quickly. Its almost soda like in how fizzy it is and how quickly it dissipates. No residual head.
Aroma is heavy on the roasted and charred malt notes. Hints of chocolate, tobacco, with a mild earthy quality. For a sub 3.0 ABV beer this is bringing a lot on the aroma front.
The taste has notes of roasted and charred malts, with hints of chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, and tobacco. Light earthiness from the hops on the back end. Admittedly there is a certain wateriness to the flavor profile of this beer. The weird thing about it this is that while its kind of light and watery, its still flavorful for what it is. I honestly don't really know how else to describe it.
Feel is light, easy drinking, moderate carbonation.
Summer session stout? yea, I guess thats this beer. I honestly go back and forth between thinking this is not great and brilliant ... regardless its not a beer that Id likely drink often unless I had to drink a low ABV beer then this would actually really scratch the stout itch.
