My first try of a non-US Goose Island BBA Porter.
Pours rusty coloured, but ends up black. Hardly any head to speak of and hardly any retention. The nose is of chocolate, vanilla, burned caramel and figs. The body shows off the bourbon barrels, but milk chocolate also fights for supremacy. Slightly boozy finish, with more milk chocolate.
This is super nice and not outrageously priced like some of the other local breweries doing the same style. Also, free delivery!
