On tap at GI-Clybourn
Pours a light layer of off-white head. Color is a burnt orange hued copper. I really like the color on this one.
Aroma: Bacon and light smoke flavors. Belgian yeast with subtle fruit notes. Bananas and pears stick out the most. Odd, but I like it.
Taste: Way more smoke flavors here with a big bacon kick. Lots of bready malts, but still some earthy hos show with a touch of fruit flavors. Too much smoke here.
Mouthfeel: Smoky, roasted, and dry. Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Ends dry and smoky.
Overall, the nose was great because of the fruit flavors, the in the taste the smoke covered a lot of that. Pretty interesting beer, however. Fairly drinkable for a smoked beer.

Chef Collaboration Series; Cask conditioned; Pours a dark carmel color with a short tan head. Lots of solids; "floaties."
Nice mouthfeel; some creamy character. No carbonation except very little when first poured but still great.
Nose and mouth both are full of roasted grain, lightly burnt toast and a wonderful fruity character.
Flavors and finish of chocolate/coffee and fruit. I liked it a lot;some didn't, especially because of the lack of carbonation.

Appears a semi transparent ruby toned amber with a small white cap that quickly fades into a mild film. Spotty bits of lace are left around the glass.
Smell is of raisins, brown sugar, vanilla beans, mineral infused molasses, with a touch of smokey burnt wood.
Taste is of the aromas with a mild touch of smoke with a juicy prune blast with raisin bread pulling through.
Mouthfeel is medium- full bodied, chewy, sweet, with some bittersweet flavors hanging on during the finish.
