Our brewers tasted every single barrel that was blended into our 2021 Old Forester Bourbon County Reserve 150 Stout, but decided to hold this barrel back due to its exceptional taste. This single barrel BCS exemplifies the robust oak character of its barrel and its full-bodied fudge flavor.

bottle to snifter ; approximately 42 months after bottling.
perceived differences from OG.....
head has less staying power; though that may be more a product of age vs. variation.
aroma has more dark fruit...plum, fig, prune.
taste has mor pronounced cola flavor. a touch more oxidation and late bitterness.
very nice.....i fell it's a touch below the original, but so hard to compare these awesome BCBS variants across the years while trying so few over days weeks months years; in different circumstances, settings, conditions.
