Sampling a 16 oz can at cellar temperature and pouring into my snifter. Can is date stamped 26 September 22.
The beer pours a dark cola brown and rests even darker in the glass. No light passes through my glass.
A dense creamy beige head of 1.5 cm foams up. The foam slowly fades to a sturdy edge layer and leaves dense lattice when I swirl the glass or take a sip.
Aroma is some dark chocolate, hints of maple and some sweeter bourbon note. The maple is more prevalent than the bourbon. No hop character and not really boozy or fusol either.
First sip reveals a medium body with very smooth and soft texture. Carbonation is very fine, soft and gentle and caresses my palate with each sip. Beer feels very nice on each sip.
Flavor is some dark chocolate, cocoa powder, maple syrup and faint bourbon notes. The maple hits harder here and the sweetness lingers after each sip. I never find any hop character and the booze is very well hidden on this beer.
tasty beer that checks in with about what you wold expect after reading the description. Glad to have tried this one.

The beer is intensely bitter maple that pulls in so much oak. It has a lingering darkness with heavy bourbon overtones. Funkier than most Goose products and I think this is where Mikerphone put their stamp.

Dark, brown head, little bit of lacing left over. Scents of chocolate, maple, and barrel. Taste is strongly sweet with maple and cocoa leading the way, a bit of barrel underneath. Smooth, boozy, big bodied. Too sweet? Maybe. Still tasty..

Released 5/20/22; drank 5/22/22 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dark brown appearance.

A rough pour yielded a nice tan head; strong lacing.

Banana, maple syrup & chocolate notes in the nose; breakfast decadence!

Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.

Maple syrup, chocolate syrup, banana & mild booze heat.

Too sweet, unsurprisingly, but this is drinkable.
