Appearance is fairly typical - kind of a straw yellow color but with some excellent lacing left behind.

Aroma is surprisingly mild but the flavors explode - pineapple, lychee, lemongrass, etc all subtly do their part to produce an excellent (and fruity) brew - this would be great for hot summer days.

Not overly carbonated with a nice very slightly syrupy feel to it. Tasty and refreshing, I could drink this all day.

Liked it so much I bought a growler to take home with me... DELICIOUS!

On tap @ Goose Island Clybourn (Chicago, IL) on 8/7/10. Served in a tulip glass.

Pours a clear golden straw color, with a thin covering of bright-white head. This stays foamy around the edges, leaving a rich cascade of froth down the sides of the glass. The aroma is floral up front and fairly tangy overall in the nose with notes of fruit and sweet malt. Some light notes of spice, earth, and citrus peel work their way in as well. While not overly complex, this still definitely has some sharpness to it.

The taste is tangy blend of fruit (apple and peach are pronounced), crisp toasted bready character from the malts, and a moderate hop presence that lays a nice tingle of bitterness across the tongue. Earth and spice are also present here but the earthy flavors seem to run more through the duration of the profile while the spice seems more confined to the backend where it lingers on the lips after each sip. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a sharp creaminess that sits on top of some underlying thickness. For a 5% beer, while there is no alcohol flavor per se, this does seem to have an awful lot of the chewiness to it, which holds the drinkibility back a little.

I haven't had any other offerings from the "Chef Collaboration" to really see what the fuss is about but this was decent enough for a Belgian Blonde. I would have liked a little more overall hop presence to help balance out the sweetness and add some more crispness to the body but this was a quality drinking experience for the most part.

A collaboration series beer done by one of my favorite chefs in Chicago, Graham Elliot. GE I love the creativity in your good, come un dude why not some creativity in the beer??? A super ugly blonde with light copper hints, white head, ok retention and lacing...Aroma is super light, only a whisper of honey...The taste is way to sweet all honey and wheat just too sweet...Super light feel, easy to drink quickly but can't sip as its too sweet.

An ok blonde but if you're a GE fan be prepared to be let down.
