A - Opaque orange on the pour with a small white head that had some decent retention and faed to a ring.

S - Smell of banana and clove with some spice and a little bit of funk. Solid hefeweizen smell that works for the style.

T - Candy sweet with sugar. Good banana taste and nice spice. Clove is understated and subtle. Pretty refreshing taste.

M - Syrupy, a little bit flat, but alright.

D - Fairly refreshing, and a solid beer. Not a world beater, but I can drink this and be relatively happy.

On tap, as part of a four beer sampler at the GIBC on Clybourn.

Pours hazy yellowish, brown, a touch of white foam (which is admittedly harder to judge in a 5 oz sampler).

Smells/tastes like a standard hefe. A little more citrus than clean, and the banana nose is minor, but there. Lemon accents.

Overall a nice taster, good drinkable hefe.

On tap

Named this summer for the Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup

A- Golden straw yellow. 2 finger head. wonderful lacing left throughout. A pretty beer.

S- Not your typical banana and clove hefe. This was a apricot and pear with wheat hefe. Unusual but good.

T- Just like above. However, the finish was smokey. Found that odd as well.

D- It was good. Ok really though. I have had alot better hefe's and enjoyed this unique style, but would rather have a typical hefe. Nothing wrong with this one. But was unexpected.
