This beer pours pitch black from the can. The head is quite thick at 3 fingers. I had to take 2 attempts to pour the full contents into my glass. Head retention is decent and there's a nice bit of lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The aroma is fairly faint. I get a very faint whiff of chocolate and peanut butter.
The flavor starts out slightly roasted, when the chocolate kicks in. The peanut butter really kicks in on the back, and is more of a sweet peanut butter, while the chocolate does remain. The chocolate leans toward milk chocolate in this beer, There's a good deal of sweetness to this beer, but it's not over the top, and is pleasing.
Body is very creamy feeling and smooth. The sweetness from the chocolate and peanut butter does linger in my palate. Beer isn't thin at all.
This is quite tasty, and a pleasure to try.

A single pour easily emptied a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. There's almost no head, even at room temperature. Other than having almost no head, this looks very stoutlike. It's black coffee brown and opaque. The smell is sweet, almost like malted milk chocolate, think Whoppers candy. Oddly, there's little peanut to smell and we all know how far a little of that can go. The nose knows, as this brings almost no peanut butter taste and it's milk chocolate sweet. Even much of the roasted barley malt taste necessary for a good stout seems to have gone missing. Mostly that effects the body, but it also hurts the overall taste. The label includes the recommendation "officially for sharing". Don't, or your status as someone who knows beer will suffer.

Goose Island Fill Me Up Buttercup Stout, 6.4% ABV. Pours black with a 4-finger light-brown head that left great foamy lacing. Nose is slight peanut butter and chocolate. Taste follows, slightly sweet, lightly bitter, with not a lot of add-junk flavor. Excellent mouthfeel, overall very good. Not a pastry stout. Inoffensive.

Aroma is dark/roasted malt, peanut butter and chocolate/marshmallows. The flavor is dark/roasted malts, marshmallows/mild/medium sweetness and a peanut butter/chocolate finish.

This isn't terrible but it is similar to their catalog in the sense there's just not much going on here. It's not offensive or bad but just extremely bare minimum except for the feel. Flavor wise it does have small notes of peanut flour but the chocolate is more prevalent. It's just okay.
