Crisp, Fruity & Nostalgic. Sometimes having no plans at all, is really the best plan. Whether you're staying in or headed out, the options are endless. Pair your undecidedness with No Plans Pale Ale. This beer's aroma is packed with bursts of red berries and citrus, mixed with dank hop notes that blend well with a malty sweetness. No pants? No plans? No problem.

An extremely solid sessionable IPA! Easy drinking beer you can have all day. Pretty close to a Founder's All Day IPA. Really enjoyable. Pick some up!!

Goose Island No Plans Pale Ale was quite a surprise! I picked this up at Woodman's as it was their 'bargain' of the week at $4.99 a 12 pack. (Whoa!!)

I was very pleasantly surprised as I was expecting some version of their IPA. (Which I think is kind of syrupy.) No Plans has a very nice hop profile, fairly low ABV, and very drinkable. Absolutely no complaints here.

At this time, I can't think of another beer that I would compare this to, but if you see it in the store, I would recommend it
if you like a good hop profile and lower ABV.

IMO: Job well done Goose Island!

Cheers!

12 oz can into a pint glass.

A: Cloudy orange-tinged golden color with a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin film.

S: Strong piney/floral hops and grapefruit citrus.

T: Bright floral hops, crackers, more peach-like citrus. Nicely balanced and sessionable.

F: Medium body; dry finish.

Pours a bright gold. Medium foam. Hoppy aroma. Dank hop body. A little perfumy. Earthy bitter hop finish. IPA light. Good flavor. Definitely crushable.

On-tap at the O'Hare airport

Really hoppy, I'm picking up weed, pine, and grass. Drinks mostly like an old school west coast IPA, maybe just a touch lighter and more drinkable. Not usually a fan of Goose Island, but this is a winner

nbsoc;
Tastes like something Hopewell Brewing would put out and honestly that’s a massive compliment to Goose Island after their… ehem… buy out. BUT let me say this, even goose ipa is not the best at this point and honkers is history, but this beer is right now. This is a modern take on a hefeweizen done American as a wheat ale. Not only is it Goose’s best beer since they got picked up, but it’s actually GOOD. Noble hop, banana clove and floral sweetness on a MASSIVE aroma and the flavor ain’t far behind. Cheers

PS: this honestly feels like the first beer where Goose said “okay the macro system is low temp and high carbonation so how do we make a great beer for those specs” and nailed it)

12 oz. can, looks like best by APR 28, 2023. A new big case of beer cans released from Goose Island. "Tasty Time Pale Ale" listed on the can, almost could be mistaken for a name. "Classically relaxed".

Poured to a Friday the 13th stemless wine snifter.
Pours crisp golden orange body with a big frothy soapy finger of white suds. Head leaves good scattered lacing as it audibly sizzles away. Beer looks super fresh & appealing.
Aromas of clean biscuit malt, fresh herbal hops, notes of pine, resin, & black peppercorn.
Taste follows: exceptionally fresh, clean, & balanced stuff. Perfect pairing of bready biscuit malts, floral hops, soft kiss of stone fruit, hint of peppercorn / rye. This thing is super delicious right now.
Body is super smooth, crisp, clean. Exceptionally light-bodied & easy-drinking stuff, with a modest 5.60% abv. This is legit one of the best new beers Goose Island has put out in a longggg time, if you ask me. Super fresh & quaffable. This stuff came along at a perfect time. For the sake of this beer's drinkability, I'll amp up my final rating to the 4.25.
