Served in a snifter at GI Clybourn 1/3/11. Thanks to HollyAnn for the assist!
From the beer menu: **Coffee Collaboration Series** A rotating series with local coffee companies. This "blend" is with Dark Matter Coffee Company's Ganesha.
A: Served a thinnish black with a creamy, 1/2 finger sliver of light tan foam on top. Retention was ok but no lace was left behind.
S: Incredible coffee nose! Fresh roasted and ground espresso roast coffee. I couldn't keep my nose out of the glass. As it warmed a bit I picked up some dark chocolate and deeply roasted malt.
T: Just as above. Fresh espresso rules the roost here.
M: A little on the "thin" side. Considering it's only packing 6% I suppose that's not completely out of line.
D: The low abv and incredible coffee presence make for a supremely drinkable coffee stout. Bring on more in the series!
