Draft at Goose Clybourn.
Bright saturated orange pour, it glistens in the light. A crown of sticky lacing coats the sides of the glass, while a cluster of larger bubbles floats on the surface. Retention is good as the foam never breaks.
Ultra resiny, sticky and dank. Sweet citrus, fresh sliced oranges and tangerines hit the nose in the initial blast. Later on it becomes more "green" and herbal, still extremely resiny and pungent. Best Belgian IPA i've ever smelled... though this one has a decidedly American slant.
Lightly sweet with a building hop bitterness that starts light and ends heavy in the aftertaste. Pulpy grapefruit, orange, and fresh grated citrus peel. Flash of maltiness in the middle. Hints of bubblegum from the Belgian yeast, but it's faint. Full bodied with medium carbonation, though it stops short of being syrupy at all. Dry with resiny bitterness in the lingering aftertaste. Fairly balanced bitterness/sweetness, an amazing collaboration. Hope this gets made again!

Arrived a clear orange-gold color with one finger of bright white head.
The aroma was Juicyfruit gum and pine. Light malt notes fell to the background.
Much like the aroma, the taste was Juicyfruit gum, pine and Belgian yeast.
Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation.
With a name like Pork Soda it had to be good.

On-tap at the pub... A totally clear light orange with a bright white head that forms a great ring. Light lacing, but the clarity of the body makes this look awesome... The aroma keeps this awesome start going, a perfect hop balance between the citra oranges and some pine from the simcoe; orange pine. Some added grapefruit just makes this even better... The awesome start is equally matched by the monumentally failure in taste, this is horrible. Tastes like licking a lawnmower bag, citra pine resin bomb, with alcohol, disgusting... Mouthfeel is as bad and hurts the taste even more, too much carbonation, way too bubbly.
A terrible taste, this needs to be avoided.

Served in a tulip at GI-Cly 2/10/11
A: Served a deep and rich golden color with two fingers of creamy and pillowy, bright-white head perched on top. Fantastic looking lace left down the sides of the glass.
S: Huge nose of tropical fruit. I could smell it before the waitress had even set it down in front of me. Very interesting mixing of tropical fruit, pine, toasty malt, and Belgian yeast fruity esters.
T: Exactly as above.
M: Full and thick but not syrupy. Juicy tropical fruit sweetness with the perfect amount of hop oil astringency. Pretty chewy.
D: To me, this is probably the highlight of the Chef Collaboration Series so far. Excellent!
