A - Black beer, no real head. surprising amount of stick on the sides.
S - Some roast, a little chocolate, bizzare floral notes that don't integrate. Not a winner here.
T - Taste is along the lines of the nose. It's got roast and too much citrus, as well as weird floral taste. The combination of the citrus and roasted malts are not a good thing.
M - Medium bodied, lower carbonation.
O - Don't like this beer, if it was an experiment they shouldn't do it again. Interesting additions, but interesting didn't equal good this time.

A variant of GI's Liquid Inspiration Stout. The waiter described this as having less hops and more floral character. Poured at GI Clybourn on June 4th, 2011 in a snifter.
A - "Pitch black coal" is the descriptor on the menu, and it seems to fit the bill. Typical opaque black stout appearance. Very little head with a good amount of lacing and plenty of carbonation sticking to the sides.
S - Nose consists of roasted almonds, slight coffee beans, and floral qualities. Maybe a little chocolate element but it's very marginal. Aroma is a bit muted.
T - Again, roasted notes primarily. Less floral with more of a citrus taste and a little more emphasis on the coffee note. Similarly, it feels very subtle and all the flavors are a bit restricted.
M - Somewhat lactic and velvety. Slight carbonation, medium body, and a short finish.
D - It's a tad uninvolving but not really unappealing in any regard. The roasted note is well executed. A big plus for no abv presence across the drink - gives this one above-average drinkability compared to similar brews.
