Had this on tap at WL Independence in a Goose Island pint glass. Pours a gold yellow, with a 1" white head that has the consistency of meringue.

Has a grassy, herby smell, with mild peppery spice. Hints of lemon and straw are present as well.

Starts clean, with mild astringency up front. Lemon, grass, and hints of banana (?!) are present. Not sure which yeast was used, but it is definitely giving this a bit of a clove/banana flavor, with a sweet middle. Very mild hops give it the slightest of bitterness to finish.

Medium bodied, with a sweeter, fuller feel than I was expecting.

WL states in their menu that Goose Island brewed this for WL to celebrate their 25th anniversary. If so, then when it is gone, it's gone. Worth a try, plus the glass is a keeper.

A- clear tawny amber with a creamy white head and thick curtains of lace.

S- clean malt with some pine and grapefruit hops.

T- nice bitterness throughout, with some pale malt sweetness on the back side. Very clean flavor overall. Finishes light and herbal.

MF- light crisp and thirst quenching. Aggressive carbonation adds to the refreshment. Palate cleansing and nice, with almost no residual stickiness.

D- light bodied and light in flavor, this is a great summertime brew. Just enough hops for a mild bitter flavor and not overly malty to keep things on the thin side. Low abv is always welcome this time of year as well. Had at winking lizard in canton in it's own glass.

A- Pours a hazy yellow gold color with a pretty solid white head. Head has good retention and leaves some nice lacing.

S- Overall, the nose is pretty tame. Pale malts, hint of pine, Earthy hops, and touch of oats.

T- A bit of spice, malts every where, very light bitterness, and grainy.

M- Light in body and carbonation.

O- I'm gonna say this ones easy to drink, but its pretty one dimensional and boring.

Served on tap into a pint glass at the Winking Lizard for their Glass of the Month

Described as an extra pale ale brewed with phoenix hops and toasted oats

A- Poured a clear golden color with a one finger slightly rocky head that left tons of chunky lacing on the glass

S- Very aromatic, big ctirus notes, big floral notes, and some pine

T- CItrus, some caramel, and some pine

M- Some prickly carbonation, lighter body, finished a little watery

O- A nice sessionable pale ale with a great aroma, but the taste did not live up to the aroma.
