Served in a mug at the Wrigleyville brewpub.
The 2011 Bachelor Party Extravaganza continues on, still at GI. This offering pours a dark black-brown topped by a finger of relatively short-lived dirty cream foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, cocoa, buttery toffee, light molasses, and light orange rind. The taste holds notes of roasted malts, very light coffee, light cocoa powder, light molasses, and toasted biscuits. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fairly smooth feel. Overall, a very enjoyable brew. It's roastier than I thought it'd be, but I think this helps things a bit. One of the highlights of the evening, to be sure.

A - A dark blackish/brown color with some mohagany highlights. Little bit of an off-white head that didn't leave a ton on the sides.
S - Smells of roast, dark fruit, slight chocolate. Pretty standard.
T - Taste is also pretty straightforward, with focus being on the dark fruit with some decent roast and moderate chocolate notes coming through. It's pretty malt forward. Nothing inspiring, but nothing that tastes bad either.
M - Lighter side of medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O - Nothing bad about this one, straight-forward, if not a little bit boring. Decent amount of flavor for the low ABV.
