Served in a snifter at Goose Island Clybourn 9/17/11. Thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist!

A: Served a shade of black just darker than Kingsford briquets. A thin cap of creamy, bright white foam spreads out on top and retains for most of the glass.

S: Quite smoky. Loads of charred malt that blends rather well with earthy natural honey aromas. A hint of charcoal, as well.

T: See above. Smoked malt gradually gives way to more and more earthy and natural honey flavors. Quite good, but not much more to it than that.

M: Full and coating yet suprisingly dry. Healthy dose of hoppy astringency.

O: Good but a little one note. I wonder if using a different honey would've introduced more layers to this.
