A - A cloudy, pale yellow with white head that faded to a ring with a minor cap left on top. Nothing else really left with this one, except few random bubbles on the sides.
S - There is some mild pear flavor, a touch of phenolic yeast. I really don't get a whole lot more off of it than that.
T - The taste isn't really surpring. Some mild pears, yeast, a touch of honey sweetness. The flavor is quite light.
M - Lighter side of medium bodied, mild carbonation.
O - A somewhat non-descript beer that is easy to drink. The pears add a small element of interest to it, but this is pretty forgetable, if not moderately enjoyable.

On-tap at Goose Island Wrigleyville. Served in a taster glass.
A - Looks like a witbier alright. Thin white foam settles to partial cap and thick collar, leaving behind no lacework. Lightly hazed pale straw body.
S - Wheat, pear skins, a bit of nebulous spice character, and a touch of lemon soap.
T - Taste is a bit sweeter, with more pear flesh and stone fruit malt character. Otherwise it's mostly unmalted grain, with a surprisingly clean finish and minimal spice.
M - Medium body, pleasant carbonation, crisp and dry in the finish, with a touch of residual stickiness.
D - The pear character is mild, although it showed up a bit more when I burped. Otherwise it's a pretty tame witbier, with a much-appreciated lower spice level.
