Medium sticky lacing low retention like most of their one offs. Inky darkness better than others. Not much to fault. Deep milk chocolate collar appeals.
Smells amazing. Like perfect espresso roast. It is brewed with intelligentsia dark roast so props. All roast small toasted grain, faint milk sweetness. Simple but well done.
Flavor is unusual. There is a sharp cloying off sweetness. Like tart cherry met bitter roast and fungus. Weird but short lived. Fades as it warms up. Leaving you light milk sweetness, appreciable espresso roast, no bitter grain. No cheap folgers here this is proper roasted flavors. Finish is light grainy malt. Like 2row dry.
Good creamy body, good sticky flavors. Good carbonation. Crisp off the bat but doesn't stay to long so the velvety nature starts to erupt. Nice good starter beer but wouldn't try again. Once is nice
