River bird pours a clean copper lottle but long lasting lacing head. Aroma is sweet sugary grain. Flavor is the same, sweeter sugary. Good feel. Overall its a very sweet, but not fruity ipa.

9/17/25 - (The Garage Bar & Sandwiches) (Chicago, Illinois) Bar Notes: 16 oz draft, $4.50 on special, 6.5% ABV American IPA.
Appearance: 16 oz shaker pint glass draft pour, yields a bright white head leaving a razor thin but also creamy over a golden blonde base yielding minimal carbonation. 4.0
Aroma: Pine, citrus, fresh bread. Smells good, drawing me in, but faint so took some effort. 3.75
Taste: Pine and breadth salty a bit. Not sure if this is from the cleaning of the draft lines, part IPA part Pilsner. Still enjoying. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Midwest style IPA, meaning caramel malt, tasting Pilsner malt as well. Hops balances out getting more traditional hop flavor as I work through it. Light persistent felt carbonation, drinks at the ABV, bready pine citrus finish. 4.0
Overall: This tastes like a WCIPA / American IPA / Pilsner hybrid. Would order again as is, want to try at Goose Island and compare that experience vs. today’s. Still nice, liking. 4.0
