Brewer: Goose Island Beer Co.
Style: English Brown Ale
Glass: Tasting glass
Appearance:
Maroon, and clear, with a frothy crown.
Aroma:
Smells like... brown sugar, whole wheat toast, and cinnamon.
Taste:
Very malty and sweet. Again brown sugar and whole wheat toast come to mind; roasted grains, almost burnt.
Mouthfeel:
Medium bodied, but unusually, um, watery. I'm not sure how to describe it other than to say there seemed to be an abnormally low amount of flavor per unit volume of ale.
Harmony:
I liked the flavor, but was less impressed by the mouthfeel.
Would I get it again?:
No.

Served: February 11, 2012
