Trying this again, damn frozen page.
Served in a 13 oz. stange glass at Goose Island Clybourn.
The beer was a saturated bright gold with orange traces that lived up to it's name. A tight cap of white foam floated on the surface and lasted for the duration of the glass.
Aroma was crisp with notes of white wine grapes. Champagne and Chardonnay came to mind, especially after the first couple sips which had a similar profile. Largely yeast driven with the fruity grape notes, and som crisp dry maltiness to back it up. Very drinkable, simple and refreshing.

A: Clear golden yellow in color. Forms a small, but stable, white head. Some very light lacing.
S: Aroma is apple, pale malts, grassy hops and a slight toastiness.
T: Taste is much of the same with light pale malts dominating with apples, pears, green grapes, grassy hops and medicinal hops adding character. Finish is quick and clean.
M: Light body with appropriate carbonation. Very mild bitterness. Dry on the finish.
O: A nice kolsch. Certainly much better than Summertime.

Served in a stange at the Clybourn brewpub.
Keepin' the light train a-runnin'! This stuff pours a clear pale brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises green apple, apricot, and what seems like a small amount of wheat. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a nice bit o' pear tossed in for good measure. The body is a hefty-leaning light, with a light moderate carbonation and a decidedly easy-going feel. Overall, a pretty durn enjoyable kolsch. Good times.
