Served in a nonic pint glass at the Clybourn brewpub.
Gotta have a cask-conditioned beer before leaving Clybourn, right? This one pours a mostly clear amber topped by two fingers of cream-white foam. The nose comprises light walnut, very light caramel, and some light earthy hops. The taste brings in more o the same, though the earthy hops take on a slightly rind-y quality beneath their earthiness. The body is a light medium, with a fairly light carbonation and a very smooth feel. Overall, a nice little bitter, nothing that stands out as exceptional, but definitely a tasty cask beer for the day.

Enjoyed at the Clybourn location.
A: half finger white head on a
S: a very toasty and nutty aroma. Earthy hops, wood notes and strong toasted malt presence.
T: more toasted caramel malts which are lightly sweet. Earthy hops with nut notes.
M: medium to light body, very moist with moderate carbonation.
Overall: a little watery but that's how this style is expected to be. No bitterness here really. Definitely highly drinkable.
