Served in an imperial pint glass at the Clybourn brewpub.

For some reason, Jethro Tull's "Jack in the Green" sticks in my head whenever I think of this beer. Anyway, this stuff pours a clear midnight sienna topped by a finger of sandstone foam. The nose comprises light walnut, dry biscuit, and light earthy greens. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some sweet-ish barley, light and watered-down coffee, and a hint of candied orange peel. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a pretty tasty English mild, something that I would probably enjoy even more if they get it going on one of the beer engines.
