A: Pours a dark caramel color with a nice off-white head.
S: Slightly muted tripel esters (vanilla, clove, peach), caramel and vanilla tannins. Barrel dominates the nose.
T: The whiskey dominates the flavor as well, with lots of sweet tannic flavors over a slightly fruity tripel base. Marshmallow, white grapes, rye, toffee, nectarine, slightly spicy.
M: Medium-bodied with light carbonation.
O: While the barrel comes through nicely, it covers up the base beer a bit too much.
