A Rittenhouse Rye barrel-aged wheatwine. Served in a cervoise.
A: Pours a burnt molasses color with a small white head.
S: Plenty of barrel character in the aroma. Vanilla, coconut, buttery rye, light raisins, whole wheat bread.
T: The taste brings some raw wheat notes, more tannic vanilla and toffee, a bit of dry oak, slight balancing hop bitterness and a bit of alcohol.
M: Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: The barrel has done this beer well.
