Had on tap at the GI 25th Anniversary Party. Served in a taster glass.
A: Pours a dark blackish brown color with a thick tan head forming on the pour. It recedes down the glass leaving behind some soapy lace.
S: Heavy on the roasted malts with a nice chocolate presence. The maple really comes through with a heavy nutty scent that is like candied pecans. Very sweet and roasty.
T: The pecans are even more present in the taste. It's like throwing a handful of roasted pecans in your mouth on the initial sip. The sweet maple syrup comes through in the middle and mixes with some roasted malts and dark chocolate.
M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation level. Very sweet finish.
O: While I really enjoyed the flavors I thought it was a tad too sweet and the pecans needed to be toned down a bit. That being said if you like the two flavors listed in the description you'll sure as shit get them in this beer.

On tap at the 25th anniversary party
A - Dark brown with slight chocolate milk colored head.
S - Roasted malted with tons of pecan, vanilla and maple
T - Sweet maple syrup with loads of pecan as well. Slight roasted malt comes through near the back. Light milky creaminess. Really a sweet and flavorful beer
M - Thinner body with a slight syrupy stickiness on the back end as well
O - Really great maple beer that has more sweet maple goodness than the CBS I had. I wish they made this more often as it is delicious. The pecan also adds a nice complexity to it as well.
