2/12/16 Chicago - (Goose Island Brew Pub $5 16 oz draft pour into Nonic glass). Copper pour, light carbonation, very thin white head, minimal lacing. Pleasant citrus, caramel and malt aroma. Nice balanced taste of bitter hops offset by the citrus and caramel. Somewhat firm texture, mild carbonation, pleasant. Overall good beer.

Pours a golden copper hue, one finger white head, fair retention, lots of lacing. Smells of grapefruit, sweet caramel, not much else. Pretty straightforward, not too hoppy, more on the malty side. Flavour is caramel, pale grainy malt sweetness, accentuated by a bit of grapefruit and floral bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium-thinner bodied, drinkable, nothing too bitter or overwhelmingly hoppy. Overall, an average IPA that isn't anything too special.

Appearance shows a light golden amber color supporting a light dissipating head. Smell of grapefruit citrus and sweet malts. taste has a lighter malty backbone with a grassy hop flavor that end dry. Mouthfeel is light - medium with good carbonation. Not a full bodied and balanced IPA.

Very nice well balanced India Pale Ale. Overall appearance lends the drinker to a nice aroma backed by a full bodied mouth feel and lasting level of bitterness. A really tasty beer that's not overpowering but has enough of hops to deliver the necessary kick.

A - clear gold with a moderate head

S - a nice mix of caramel and floral

T - a nicely balanced IPA with the caramel notes balancing the bitterness. A noticeable difference from previous years that had a floral dominance.

M - just light of moderate mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.

O - a nicely balanced IPA. If you've had previous years and found them too floral it's time to try this again.

About as good as a beer can look with burnt orange clear body, 3 finger head with excellent lacing and good retention. Full aroma with pale malts, orange peel and grapefruit for tart citrus presence, some breads. Flavors include toasted and caramel malts with citrus throughout. The citrus starts tart with mostly grapefruit moving to sweet caramel malts and finishing with sweet orange peel. Pine resin late in the finish. Excellent mouthfeel of medium body and light to moderate carbonation. This one is super smooth and clean. An overall great ipa. May be one of the better beers I have has here. For your hop head though, which I am, it may be too tame.
