this isnt retired, as its on at the brewery right now. its pretty good too, light and appley, as all of these seem to be as of late, maybe its just easier and faster to kettle sour with an apple started lacto culture, but its real prevalent lately. this is clean and golden in look, only a little haze and a decent white head. a tangy nose, tart like sour candy, but not overly mature or sour in the normal sense. its young beer, with a very very light grain base. its all about the lacto, which is stinky and puckery both, kind of the new classic. carbonation is nice, there is no body at all to this, and its so light in alcohol that you could drink it all day. not too acidic either, which helps with that. one of those beers that blends in a little with its peers but is pretty darn good in isolation. i think its cool goose still does stuff like this on site, despite the growing big brands and demand for the barrel aged stuff. glad they took the time to do this one.

Had a glass at the Goose Island Clybourn brewpub.
Cloudy yellow with a minimal head.
Aroma is lemon and a bit of vinegar.
This beer just tasted off to me. There was the appropriate lemon tartness but that was followed up with an unpleasant vinegar note that didn't seem to belong. Not entirely pleasant.
Light body, thin carbonation for the style.
Overall, I would not drink this again.
