On-tap at the brewery. There’s no way this beer is 10% by the way. More like half that.
A: Served a dark cranberry juice color with woody highlights and a very thin light pink collar. No lace.
S: Musty notes of raspberries and slight vinegar. There is definitely a basement must to the odor.
T: Sweet raspberry flavors with a bit of earthy must, dank basement, a touch of wood, and strong notes of fruit pits and red/dark fruit skins. The finish is cherry skin like, and the light tart/sourness is that of fruit skins. Luckily I’m hardly getting any vinegar.
M: Tingly lively carbonation, medium body with a slick and sticky mouthfeel. It’s dryish but barely, and there is just a hint of tartness to the mouth.
O: Not the worst framboise I’ve ever had but it’s nothing super special. Good for the brewery. I can’t knock Lodi for its variety of styles.

At the source.
A - Dark red with light carbonation and little head.
S - Raspberries, vinegar, and light breadiness.
T - Raspberry with sugary esters, and light vinegar.
M - Definitely had the expected ester from the belgian yeast and light notes of sourness, which were not overpowering.
D - Good, but need to work out the vinegar taste from the beer.
