Sampled 12/31/2010 at the brewpub.
Pours murky, reddish brown, thin beige head, decent lacing and retention.
Aroma is malt, chocolate, some roast, and a little booze.
Flavor is very sweet and heavy with some roast, plenty of chocolate, low bitterness, and lots of malt. The ridiculous amount of sweetness covers any alcohol bite or flavor.
Body is heavy. The beer is drinkable and enjoyable even if it isn't real authentic.
