Appearance- Nothing out of the ordinary. One finger head when the waitress gave me my drink. An even brown with an amber hint when held up to the light.
Smell- Butterscotch, with a very, very faint character. But almost overwhemingly BUTTERSCOTCH.
Taste- Makes me think of bitterscotch syrup mixed with seltzer water. Hardly any hops or malt, or should i say the malt was the butterscotch or masked by it.
Mouthfeel- Butterscotchy, light but the butterscotch is a bit more than expected. But this beer doesn't overwhelm the senses so that you couldn't enjoy a meal while drinking it.
Drinkability- Would be higher idftheir was a more general beer taste to this ale than just butterscotch.
Overal a decent beer to try considering I've never heard of a butterscotch beer before. Thats why I tried it.
