Mixture of stolen and offered sips from a friend's tulip at the brewpub. Pours cloudy peach/amber with a two-finger head and nice lacing.
The aroma is pure cascade/centennial-- tons of grapefruit and maybe a little pine.
Tastes like it smells, with a metric fuckload of cascade flavor and a strong bitter finish. From the standpoint of sheer hoppiness and bittering, this is actually more of an IPA than the wingnut.
Mouthfeel is bright and briskly carbonated, and drinkability is good but not particularly special.
This is one of those beers, like Alpha King, that's only an APA because that's what the brewer calls it. In fact, this beer basically IS Alpha King, only the flavor and aroma-hopping aren't as nice.
NOTE: I'm not sure how this differs from the Full Frontal, but both were on the taplist when I went. I didn't get a chance to try the Full Frontal, but hopefully I will the next time I go to Piece.
