Nicely Balanced...
Redish brown deep color with a light head
Aroma is light and simple which is confusing once you take a drink..
Bourbon barrel aged just enough to come across but not over take the
hints of Vanilla and dark fruits..its really the best of both worlds.
the taste makes me wish it was thicker..
Great Brew.. If you can stop in and try it!!!

Deep tawny chestnut, thin layer of tan foam.
Rich caramel toffee aroma, toasted coconut and trace vanilla.
Burly and chewy, heavy caramelized sugar and toffee, woody dry aftertaste.
Nicely rounded bourbon notes lend vanilla and coconut traces.
Overall it's really nice, highly recommended.

Enjoyed on tap at FOBAB. Served in a my FOBAB taster glass.
A: Pours a dark ruby color with a light khaki head. It recedes slowly to a thin film and ring.
S: Dark fruits, smooth bourbon and sweet caramel malts. It's not out of this world, but it is good and blends nicely together.
T: The taste is much better. Sweet bourbon with some oak. Caramel and toffee malts with a milk chocolate sweetness. Some semi-bitter cocoa, dark fruits and a nice roasted malt presence as well.
M: Medium high body with a medium low carbonation. Very smooth and creamy.
O: I definitely enjoyed this beer. Even after all the great beers enjoyed at FOBAB this beer still stood out as winner.

On tap at Piece. Served in a 8 oz fluted tulip.
A- pours a murky brown, with a 1 finger tan head. Minimal lacing.
S- Brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon.--
T- toasted malts, Brown sugar, dark fruits, vanilla, bourbon, and some light pine.
M- full body and medium carbonation. Thick and syrupy, marked it down a tick because there is some heat.
O- very good barleywine and one I wish was around more.

On draft on site served in a tulip glass for 10 bills. Murky ass brown....no appeal to stink it as it resembles dirty sewer water. However , nice times of caramel and vanilla persuade me to have a drink. God carbonation for such a high alcohol beer , sweet, a lil vanilla detected. No lacing on my glass. A good beer to have , dis not drink like a 13% beer. Have it while u can, request it if u dint see it on the menu.
