Nice color for a "rousse" but surprisingly cloudy, nearly opaque. Aroma is subtle and effervescence is fair, thin head that dissipates quickly. The taste isn't appealing at all. Vague chocolate flavor, quite sour in the mouth, actually very sour. Aftertaste is rather undefined. As a red ale, it's a bit of a miss.

A clear red brown beer, a small off-white head with no lacing and small curtains.
Smelling off egg yolk and boiled maize, when warmer milk chocolate nuances.
The taste is different, very much chocolate pudding, brown bread and raisins. A "pucko" (chocolate drink) vibe.
Little carbonation, a fresh texture and a medium body.
Too sweet, and too much artificial chocolate flavor.

Medium amber color. Pours with a good head but dissipates quickly.
The aroma is soapy and perhaps slightly sweet.
Very thin mouthfeel with a slightly sour taste. No discernable hop aroma or flavor.
The color is nice. But I was not inspired to drink this beer.

Bottle:
Decants a deep chestnut brown ale into my glass, rocky 1 finger off-white cap..modest lacing.
Subtle nose of sweet cocoa and wet hay.
Decent chocolate/coffe tones from some dark malts..a little "chared husk" astringency, cedary hop buttering, light fruity tones....fast clean finish.
Smooth chocolatey-fruity character, medium light body, a fairly decent dark ale ...drinkable but nothing really stands out.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a small foamy head with limited retention. Aroma of dry caramel malt is dominating. Taste is dominated by the same dry caramel malt with not much sweetness or bitterness from the hops. Body is slightly more full then the average from the style with some low carbonation. Overall, I thought this was a boring take on a boring style and an example that wouldnt even make a good session ale.
