Willoughby's brews several porters and stouts, and offers them on a rotational basis. On the day of my visit, the London Porter was the featured "dark" beer. It poured a very dark brown, virtually black color. The thin head retained extremely well, even after some time passed (after the pour) before I could sample. The smell was of deep and inviting chocolate, with full roasted malt characteristics. The taste was complex, and intriguing, full and deep. Very initriguing, but tasty. The feel comes up a bit thin, however. With its look, smell and taste, I expected something a bit heavier. Still, there wasn't much detracting from the overall drinkability of this porter. Very smooth, rich and tasty.
